Hi, can anyone please advise where the cheapest place to rent skis and boots in north conway? We prefer to rent from a shop, rather than at a mountain, we will be there for 2 weeks. We are staying at North conway grand hotel, has anyone stayed there recently, as they are meant to have refurbed there rooms, and just wondered how they are now?
any other ideas of info will be great.

Try www.joejonessports.com for ski rentals. There is one located right in the center of town. There are several ski shops in the N Conway area. You can check prices at a couple before renting your skis.

I just checked out the joe jones website. They have changed it. I couldn%26#39;t find the information on the ski rentals. They run about 20.00 a day. Being late in the season they may give you a deal.
Went to ski nh website and a lot of resorts are closing this weekend 3/29. The larger resorts are open through 4/12.
thanks, we go saturday, with virgin snow ski hollidays, they sell the mountain passes in advance, so the ones we have must be open.

Are you going to Bretton Woods? That is my favorite mountain. It has spectacular views of Mt Washington. They seem to get the most snow so you should be good. Temps are running below average for this time of year. A lot of mountains are closing because of the lack of skier interest. Are you driving into N Conway? On your left hand side on Rte 16 (the main road into N Conway)you%26#39;ll start seeing a lot of stores. Right after the Muddy Moose restaurant is a ski shop that I rented my son%26#39;s snowboard from. The prices were decent. Don%26#39;t quote me but I think it was called Steve%26#39;s or something like that. Perhaps a local can help you out with that. You%26#39;ll have a great time, it%26#39;s a beautiful area.
