I have heard this motel is under new ownership but it is the nastiest place I have ever set foot in! We spent 2 nights during the ice storm because we had no power and all Inns were full. Room 16 was 2 rooms and I have posted 3 photos, My sheets were visibly stained, bathtub was clearly dirty, the television was so dirty we had to wipe it off to see the picture (the cloth was BLACK). Do NOT check your matress or you%26#39;ll run away. Asking for our money back was futile 3 hours after check in as the toothless smoking office woman named TONI will not give you one, she looks and smells as bad as the motel itself. Her language was nasty along with her chain smoking.
Ice storm 1 night in this dump cost $85 in winter~!
Why hasnt the city shut this place down???
Breakers By The Sea is disgusting!! March 2009
I know where that motel is. I never liked that end of the beach at all to begin with! You lucked out only paying 85 a night Stevehcali. I had to stay at the beach during the ice storm too. By the time we got a room later on that first day, the only one left was the Ship%26#39;s Inn further up the beach near A Street. We were on the top floor in a room with a kitchenette %26amp; a jacuzzi. We paid $150 I think? I forget what it was, I just know they weren%26#39;t going to budge with any type of a discount, are you kidding me! Also, you think I was going to step foot in that jacuzzi? Guess again! How many others were in it thru the years! No way hozay! I couldn%26#39;t wait to get back to our house after that crazy foolish ice storm all of us had to endure! Oh, the place was clean, no issues that way, it didn%26#39;t matter where the jacuzzi was I was NOT stepping foot in that thing LOL! If it were MINE in my own home, yes I%26#39;d use it but NO way am I going to step foot in one of those things in a motel room, NO way, I quickly took showers though %26amp; jumped out as fast as I could, the second night I had my flip flops so I lucked out!
It wasn%26#39;t easy what we had to put up with during that ice storm, was it! To think tons of us spent at least a grand if not more between having to get motel/hotel rooms, our food thawing out in the freezer %26amp; then there was our Unitil bills that weren%26#39;t reimbursed for any of this. With us we figured it was at least a grand they owe us. Even right now this is the end of May, one of the street lights is out on our road and Unitil has been out there for days trying to fix it, and I mean for days. A bigger truck has been there lately, so whatever the issue is, it%26#39;s still not fixed and at night it%26#39;s pitch dark in our neighborhood. Two of our porch railing planters were stolen on one of the nights. So there%26#39;s another 60 bucks down the drain at least, $$$ we should be tacking on to Unitil%26#39;s bill, right!
