Does this restaurant still exist?

About 22 years ago, I was traveling in the White Mountains with my parents and we were staying at Woodward%26#39;s Resort. We had dinner several evenings at a restaurant that was cafeteria-style, where you picked up your own food and paid the cashier at the end. I believe the food was BBQ, but I%26#39;m not positive. I think it may have been a yellow building but I wouldn%26#39;t swear to it. Years later, I%26#39;ve moved to NH myself and am raising my own family here. We love going up to the mountains. Just wondering if this restaurant still exists and if anyone knows the name of it (even if it%26#39;s long gone). Just curious. Sorry I don%26#39;t remember more info, but I was just a kid.

Kittygal,

Could it have been a brown log style building with yellow trim and a big yellow sign? There use to be cafeteria style bbq place not to far from the old man that I went to a few times many moons ago. If that%26#39;s the place, it%26#39;s been gone for some time. The name escapes me but I want to say it had something to do with the South or Texas! We also stayed at Woodward%26#39;s a few times back then.

Thanks for the reply. That very well could have been it. I can%26#39;t recall exactly what it looked like. I figured it was probably gone but still wondered about it! Do you know if there%26#39;s anything in the building now or if the building still exists? I think I%26#39;m going to have to look at some old photo albums next time I%26#39;m at my parents%26#39; house!

Was it the Longhorn Palace?

Ah! I think that%26#39;s it!! Thanks so much. It%26#39;s just been driving me CRAZY trying to remember it! I%26#39;m going to show the picture to my mom and see if she can confirm for me. :-) Funny the things you remember from vacations when you were a kid!
