polar express??

I was looking for a christmas vacation and came upon the polar express. Is this worth the trip? Also any info about either the cranmore inn or the lodge at jackson village?

polar express??

the polar express is well worth the trip it is very hard to get tickets unless u book a package at a local resort like the cranmore place or you can put in for a lottery in which they draw names but you have to put you name in by end of sept for the lottery...if you have children who love the movie polar express or love thomas the train they will absolutely love the adventure...it is like visiting a magical christmas story..living in New Hampshire..I know it is a Polar Express is a very popular adventure for families...you won%26#39;t regret it...it is however more pricey for the packages at the resorts because of the high demands but other resorts also have packages with the tickets but book early they have limited number of tickets and believe me the sell out very fast

polar express??

My wife (who is the real kid here) really wants to do this. Her only concern is that she wants to make sure that the ';grownups'; who go on the Polar Express ride have the same amenities and opportunities that the kids do-- that is, will she get cocoa, nougat candies, and a bell-- and can she wear her pajamas? Any information you have to answer this rather odd question would be mighty appreciated. Thanks!

I, also have wanted to go on the Polar express but my kids are too old and my wife is too embarrassed without kids. There are 2 trains, 1 from Lincoln and the 2nd from NC. I am not sure if the Lincoln tix are as hard to get but it is a good distance if you are staying in the NC area.

Revjeff- Since I haven%26#39;t actually ridden the train, I can%26#39;t say if adults get all the chocolate, etc, but I%26#39;ll bet no one will complain if your wife wears her jammies!!! (lol)

I went last year and it was so magical! Adults did get hot chocolate, chocolates and all the amenities provided to the little ones. I don%26#39;t recall seeing any adults without children, but I don%26#39;t think anyone would care. It is a wonderful trip...

FYI, we received our tickets through the lottery. Provided you can be flexible on the dates, the lottery is the way to go. We also purchased the first class tickets, which I would do again. The seating was a little nicer than that in coach.

the polar express really depends on the age of your children. its very hard to get tickets and they are expensive. basically you get on the train, drink some coco, ride to the ';north pole'; a man dressed as santa reads the book, you get a bell and ride back! I was very disapointed!!

You%26#39;re just a little ray of sunshine, aren%26#39;t you...

on a very cloudy day!

Rev Jeff, Adults also get cocoa ';as thick and rich as melted chocolate bars';. And sure -- wear the jammies -- you won%26#39;t be the only adults who do. Keep in mind thought that it%26#39;s usually so cold coming and going from the train that you%26#39;re going to want a coat too.
