We are planning to go to Santa%26#39;s Village %26amp; Six Gun City at the end of August with our 3 boy%26#39;s ages 2,5,%26amp; 9. We stayed at the Royalty Inn 2 years ago but there really was no place for the kids to play besides the pool when we returned from the parks. We are looking for a clean place near places to eat. We don%26#39;t need anything fancy just clean and reasonable with a play area or grassy area for the kids. Indianhead has a good package they are offering that includes breakfast %26amp; dinner. Are the rooms clean? How is the food? It says they have kids programs at night, how %26amp; what are they? What age groups are they for? Any other info you have would be great. I have checked the reviews and they are mixed. Thanks for any input you have.
A few Indianhead questions
Triciae3-
I am familar with the Royalty and most of the lodging establishments up here T%26amp;C, Top Notch etc... are about the same, mine included. Most of us have very little in the way of the jungle gyms or activities for youngseters, especially in Gorham, space contraints - Shame on us I guess, but the fact is that a large majority of our visitors do not bring or stay to long with the kids and tend to be couples or outdoor enthusiasts. Most familes going to Santa%26#39;s Village or Six Gun City its a day trip, or overnight and out.
I would suggest breaking the two parks into two days due the ages of the 2 yougest ones. But, with that said, your kids are ideal for visiting NOW, you will have to return in another couple years for the 2yr old though, as he will likely not remember much of it.
The town of Gorham has a huge town common with the typical play things. A couple playgrounds in the school yards in Berlin
I believe its the Red Roof Inn in North Conway that has the indoor water park, they got into a bit of trouble a year or so ago, because they opened prior to getting all of their approvals for a long weekend. My friend Newlaw1 may be able to assist a bit futher here.
How long is the whole intended stay for the family of 5 going to be?
With respect to Indian Head, I have not stayed there in years (old mogul skier) so I fear I am not much help with that one. Staying here you are putting yourself much further south and I am guessing the drive to and fro will be about an 45 minutes or so to the two theme parks. If you decide to stay further north, you could visit the Northern Forest Heritage Park on upper Main St in Berlin, the boys will certainly enjoy it, but its not a huge deal and maybe take in a river boat tour in the afternoon?
The Moose tours atre just to long for the youngester, so kid. Bit, you could do a self guided - Drive North on NH Route 16, when he%26#39;s done, so are you.
Another thing to see, and I am not even sure NH parks charges for it is the Old Man musem in Fanconia, close to where he fell. The Flume Gorge, but watch the little guy closely!
Be sure to go to www.visitnh.gov for detailed information about what may be going on.
Travel Well!

It%26#39;s the Red Jacket Inn in North Conway with the indoor water park. The Hampton Inn also has one. I hear it%26#39;s great for families.
Thanks so much for your replies. We are planning on staying for 3 nights and will do a park a day. Thaks again!
We stayed at the North Colony Motel in Bartlett last year when we went to Storyland and Santa%26#39;s Village. It%26#39;s a bit of a ride to Santa%26#39;s Village, but it is a short drive to all of the great restaurants in North Conway (just don%26#39;t waste your money at Joseph%26#39;s Spaghetti shed).
