Next November we will be driving from Albany, New York to Boston, MA. We would like to break up the trip with a night%26#39;s stay in either sounthern Vermont or southern New Hampshire. A nice inn would probably be our preference...any suggestions? Thanks.

Try www.nhlodging.org. There are some very nice ones around Keene and Swanzey in southwest New Hampshire. The Inn of the Tartan Fox is in Swanzey and Carriage Barn is in downtown Keene, both different, but very nice.

The two largest towns in Southern NH are Keene (which is a college town) and Peterborough (the play ';Our Town'; by Thornton Wilder was based on it). Both towns will also have excellent dining options.
