canoeing?

Hi!

I am planning a camping trip and am looking for a place near Lafayette Campground to do some canoeing.

I think Echo Lake is around there... Any other suggestions? And, just as important: Where can we rent canoes for the weekend?

Contact Eastern Mountain Sports- EMS- in Lincoln which is just south of the campground.

I know they do kayaks and I am sure they can do info on canoes.

There is no EMS in Lincoln. I think the closest one is in N. Conway.

Also, is Echo Lake the best place to Canoe near Lafayette?

Really prefer canoes... any other suggestions? I also sent an email to the Franconia Chamber of commerce... still waiting on reply...

There is a place in Lincoln that rents canoes, although I can%26#39;t recall their name. They%26#39;re right on 112 very close to Rt 93, south side of the road.

As far as a good lake, I prefer Russell Pond which is up Tripoli Road. Tripoli Road is just south of Lincoln, about midway between Lincoln and Rt 49.

And, nope, never was an EMS in Lincoln, there are Lahouts and Rodgers for sporting goods.

hmmm... google isnt being kind on Canoe rental in Lincoln... Will have to try for sporting goods or something.
