I am looking for a nice place on a lake or and in the mountains. This is for a family of three kids 3,7,12 and two adults. A cottage would be nice. Looking for a place where there is plenty to do for the kids. I am planning this trip the last couple of weeks in June. We are from Florida and we want to see NH and maybe some of Maine. Please advise what airport to fly into.

Our family have been renting cottages at Sebago Lake Maine for about 50 years (several generations). We always rent through sebagolakerentals.com. This is a family owned business right on the lake which specializes in cottage rentals. Sebago Lake is kind of an old fashioned low key family lake with clean spring fed water (Portland%26#39;s water supply) and nice sandy beaches. Nicely located about 1 hour to the White Mountains of New Hampshire (Story Land, train rides, shopping etc.) and about 45 minutes to Portland, Maine located on the ocean - lighthouses, lobster, and a wonderful art museum and children%26#39;s museum. Sebago Lake is in the Lakes Region, near Naples which is kind of the crossroads with mini golf, jet boat rides, etc. There is also a real Drive In Theater nearby in Bridgeton. Give it a try.
