How strenuous a hike are you looking for? There are many, many options, at different levels of difficulty. Just let us know, and we%26#39;ll come up with some options!

Band,

Check out amc-nh.org for some great info on hiking in and around Mt Wash. It%26#39;s about a 20 min drive north on rt 16 and well worth a visit. Lots of usefull help along with maps, trails, etc. Many hikers eat and stay there. Good luck.

Arathusa falls is well worth the hike, especially if it has been raining.

You can hike up to the base of Tuckerman%26#39;s ravine but watch out you may want to keep going. Read all the warning about hiking MW. There are hundreds of miles of hiking. Check out the national and state park websites which will have comments, pictures, etc.

Also the guidebooks will have time estimates for various hikes. A hike I have not done but understand is great is Mount Chocurua which has a flat top with spectacular view.

Chocorua is a great climb. The Piper trail is probably easiest, (about 3.5 miles, one way) but I always liked the Champney Falls trail too. Mt Kearsarge off Hurricane Mtn Rd is a 3 mile climb and affords excellent views in all directions. If the forecast calls for a northwest wind and you feel like something more aggressive, head for the Presidentials. Tuckerman%26#39;s ravine is an fun hike and not too strenuous. But don%26#39;t go up into the bowl or attempt the rim or summit unless the weather is clear and forecast to remain that way.
