Eagle Mountain Inn

Checking out other places to stay beside the standard Hampton Inn in North Conway for our October trip to New England. Has anyone stayed here and what were your views of the lodging and restaurant? Thanks

Eagle Mountain Inn

I haven%26#39;t stayed there but I know it well and would recommend it in a minute over a traditional roadside motel in NC. It%26#39;s old, but it has charm and style, and views are awesome.

Eagle Mountain Inn

Eagle Mountain House is a very unique place to stay. Just be forewarned it is on the Natl Register of Historic Places,i.e. old. Because of that it sometimes get mixed reviews. Some of the rooms are shabby chic and depending on the room may depend where the emphasis will lie. So ask questions about the room you are renting and have realistic expectations so you are delighted and not disappointed.

If not the Eagle Mountain house then give me a recommendation for another good inn that serves breakfast. Thanks

We stay at the Eagle Mountain House every winter for xc skiing. We love it there. In the fall, the views of the changing leaves would be beautiful. The Carter Notch Inn right next door is fancier and you can pop over to the EMH for breakfast. They also have a cozy tavern. If you want something more chic, there are a number of B%26amp;B%26#39;s in Jackson Village like the Nestlenook and Inn at Thorn Hill although they are pricier.

CeCe, another nice inn is Whitney%26#39;s Inn located at Black Mtn in Jackson. It was refurbished last year in a Adirondack style. It also has a pub and entertainment.

Best breakfast in Jackson is at Yesterdays. Stay anywhere and have your breakfast there.

CeCe, it was not my intent to drive business away from EMH, just to let you know a little about it. There are untold numbers of families that have stayed there and loved it. Read the reviews on TA and elsewhere before just writing it off. The bad news is that there are so many inns and b%26amp;bs that it is difficult to say what is better, especially since it is such a personal opinion.
