Hi,
My husband and I, and our 8, 6, 4 and 4 mth old are travelling to Mount Washington Valley in late June to visit Story Land, and do some hiking and horseback riding.
Any suggestions of places to stay? We didn%26#39;t go away this winter, so we can afford a mid to higher range, and are looking for somewhere clean, non-touristy and comfortable.
Thanks!

How long will you be traveling? There are lots of condos/townhouses available in the area like Nordic Village or Christmas Mountain which are great for a family but these are usually weekly (altho Nordic village may rent for less than a week- I don%26#39;t remember)

Check out the post on page three ';Storyland: Need nearby hotel recs please!'; for some info. As far as non-touristy goes, N H is a tourist destination.
Thanks, we will be there for 5 days... Nordic Village is my top contender right now. I haven%26#39;t heard of Christmas Mountain, so I will check it out.
I realize NH is a tourist magnet, I meant non-touristy relatively speaking... from reading previous threads North Conway is the most touristy area of the region.
I appreciate the advice!
Christmas Mountain is across the street from Nordic Village. All the units are called Linderhof style.
Alpine looking building with 4 units, bottom 2 have 2b/2b and top are same except for very large loft.
The further up the road you stay the better views across to MW. Check out Vrbo.com or cyberrentals.com under glen and bartlett, nh for these units.
Most are not air conditioned but you will not need it there (or at least I never have and we stay in August usually). All have full kitchens. If you are interested, I will find the name of the person I last rented from, unit was very nice with great views.
