The Summit is a very nice hilltop location. Last I stayed there there were Jacuzzi%26#39;s in all rooms. It was a while back but things like that don%26#39;t tend to disappear.

I have heard that the Wolfeboro Inn is very nice but do not have 1st hand info as I haven%26#39;t stayed there.

Christmas Island is older but again no first hand info.

Summer is nice there but check out ahead for Biker Weekend when that area is a hotbed. That week in mid June is not when I would want to be in the Weirs. Also keep eye for the two Nascar Weekends usually around July 17th or so and again in mid September. Very busy roadways those weekends.

For Bike Week and Nascar weekend schedules check out www.nhis.com .

Misty Harbor is in a nice location on the Lake. If interested in a cottage and walking to Weirs Beach check out Proctors Cottages, Channel Cottages. Also some condos available in that area, maybe check weirs beach chamber of commerce. Wolfeboro Inn is nice and you can walk to town shops, restaurants etc.

I was not impressed with Misty Harbor. It wasn%26#39;t that bad but for the price and based on their website I was expecting more. I was told that the units are all individual owned so they are not all the same and therefore some may be better then others. We did not get a lakefront we got a lakeview which apparently it qualified as a lake view because if we went out and leaned out over the balconie and looked just right between the lakefront buildings we could see the lake. The indoor pools was not very impressive. However the beach and lakefront area was nice and it is adjacent to the Meadowbrook so great place to stay if your going to a concert there. Did not stay at the Summit but looked into it and it looked nice but was much more expensive at that time so we settled on Misty Harbor.

Summit Resort - Spent Thanksgiving week here. Spacious, comfortable suites. Clean and neat. Nice deck and fireplace. Great pool with slides and large hot tub. Lovely jacuzzi tub in master suite. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Close to Lake Winnipesaukee%26#39;s Weir%26#39;s Beach. Would go back in a second!!!!

I am a travel agent with a leading tour company in the US and I travel often. I have visited New Hampshire every year for 24 years and I have never had such a terrible experience as I had a few weeks ago at the Summit Resort in Laconia.

I stood at the Summit for one night and the place was beautiful but the staff was awful and not accomidating at all. When booking I was told that I could have a late checkout (12:00) as I was checking in after 3:00. When I went to check in I was told that I would have to checkout by 10:00 and they would speak to the person who told me otherwise. The staff were not pleasant and were basically rushing me out as there was another person ready to check in behind me.

My family and I used the pool area and we came in and left in our swim clothes as our condo was close to the amenities building. After getting back to the condo we received a call from the front desk. A person who was using the amenities building but not staying at the property had accused my husband of stealing 10.00 from a locker. Please keep in mind that the only way into the pool area is by walking through the locker rooms. We were told by the staff person that the woman could file charges but after asking a few questions the staff person said that the woman who was accusing us had chosen our name off the sign-in sheet and could not describe what we looked like or what we were wearing. She also left when she found out we were on our way back to the amenities building.

As a professional, I expected much more from this hotel. I will never stay there again just on the service alone.

After writing my guest services survey, I received an apology the Monday after our stay. We usually stay at Mill Falls but since we were in a group of six

I just saw your post and I am traveling with a 4 yo and baby on Memorial Day weekend. I was wondering if you decided on a place to stay. I am guessing we are looking for similar-type accommodations. TIA!

Bluegreen - the op is over 3 yrs old. You will get more information if you start a new topic and let us know what type of accommodations and interests you are looking for.
